The best Shortimize alternatives for hiring creators in 2026

Sourced, dated and written for brands hiring creators: what Shortimize charges, where its model bites, and which tool fits which job.

Prices and claims checked 2026-09-13

TL;DR

  • Shortimize is an analytics subscription, $99/mo on Launch and $249/mo on Scale (checked 2026-09-13), not a place to find or hire creators.
  • Best overall alternative for hiring: influencers.so, where creators publish their own rates and you pay 0% commission.
  • Want tracking with hiring on top: Modash tracks 100 to 250 creators' content on plans from $199/mo billed yearly; Collabstr tracks 5 to 15 posts on its paid plans.

How we researched this

We read the public pricing page of Shortimize and of every tool in the table below live on 2026-09-13, and cross-checked older observations against our own research vault, where each capture carries its own date. Every price, fee and quota on this page is linked in the sources list to the page it came from; where a figure is a vendor's claim about itself, we say so. Nothing here comes from a review aggregator or a paid listing.

Why brands look for a Shortimize alternative

Shortimize sells tracking, not hiring. Its pricing page (checked 2026-09-13) prices plans by video storage, refresh rate and seats: Launch is $99 a month for 1,000 tracked videos refreshed every 24 hours on one seat, Scale is $249 a month for 5,000 videos refreshed every 12 hours on three seats, and Enterprise is custom. API, webhooks and MCP access are add-ons on both paid plans. Nothing on the page is a creator directory or a rate card; it assumes you already have creators to track. The page's own meta description says plans start at $79 a month, which is the yearly-billed Launch price (the toggle says yearly billing saves 20%); the monthly price on the page is $99.

The free tools ask for an email before they run. In our own test on 2026-09-08, clicking Generate on the TikTok caption generator sent no request and opened a newsletter modal asking for an email, while the same page said '100% free, no login required'. All 43 tool pages under /tools were wrapped in that gate; only the two calculators ran locally without it.

The downloaders and analyzers lead into the app. On 2026-09-08 the TikTok and YouTube downloader pages made zero network requests, waited about seven seconds, and showed the same placeholder card with a 'Login Required' badge and a 'Login & Download' button pointing to app.shortimize.com; the six analyze pages built an app.shortimize.com URL and redirected there instead of returning an analysis. That is a trial funnel, and a reasonable one; it also means the public pages do not deliver on the page what their headlines describe.

1

influencers.so

Best for
Brands that want to see what a creator charges before the first message, and pay nothing on top when they hire.

influencers.so is a creator index where creators publish their own monthly retainer and per-video rate, with a direct email on every card. Search it free and reveal a set number of emails a day; pay the creator directly, because we take no commission on their fee. The paid plans add the pipeline around the index: outreach, post tracking across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, Vera and the studio. Behind it sit 23 market desks that source, brief and negotiate in the local language, and 51 free tools.

Pros

  • Creator-published retainer and per-video rates, so the price is on the card before you write
  • 0% commission: you pay the creator directly and nothing is priced per hire
  • Free to search; Founder is $99/mo at the pre-launch rate ($199 after), Scale $499/mo
  • 23 market desks that brief creators in the local language, and 51 free tools

Cons

  • Self-serve is on pre-access: Founder is capped at 100 seats, and parts of the product are still in beta or by request
  • The index is curated and vetted, not a fourteen-million-profile database
  • No escrow and no built-in payout rail: you pay creators yourself

2

Shortimize

Best for
Teams that already have creators and want to track their TikTok, Reels and Shorts performance in one dashboard.

Shortimize tracks accounts and videos across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat and X, refreshes the numbers on a schedule, and pushes them to Slack, Discord, Mixpanel, Amplitude and PostHog. It also lists automated creator payments as a feature on every plan. If your problem is that you hired thirty creators and cannot see what they posted, it is built for that. If your problem is finding and pricing creators, it does not attempt it.

Pros

  • Unlimited account tracking on every plan, refreshed every 12 to 24 hours (checked 2026-09-13)
  • Slack, Discord, Mixpanel, Amplitude and PostHog integrations listed on every plan
  • 7-day free trial, and an enterprise process that answers in writing without a sales call

Cons

  • No creator index, outreach or rate data: it tracks creators you already have
  • API, webhooks and MCP are paid add-ons on Launch and Scale
  • The 'starting at $79/mo' snippet is the yearly price; monthly is $99
  • Free tools are email-gated and the logged-out downloaders return a placeholder card (tested 2026-09-08)

3

FindMeCreators

Best for
Consumer apps with a five-figure budget per cycle that want a managed team posting high volumes of short videos, often on brand-owned accounts.

FindMeCreators runs the whole program: sourcing, briefs, contracts, payments and monthly reporting, with Slack Connect and a bundled Shortimize seat on every tier. The page promises content live in 7 to 10 days and full paid-social usage rights on everything produced. You buy volume per cycle rather than per creator, and the agency picks the creators. It also sells a separate self-serve database of creator emails as a $299 lifetime licence (our capture, 2026-09-08).

Pros

  • Fully managed: sourcing, briefs, payments and reporting handled for you
  • Full paid-social usage rights included at no extra cost (page FAQ, 2026-09-13)
  • Native-language creators across Europe, LatAm, East and Southeast Asia and Africa, per the page

Cons

  • Entry price is $15,000 per cycle TikTok-only or $20k with cross-posting, and the cycle length is not defined on the page
  • Sales-led only: every call to action is a booking link, and there is no self-serve
  • Creator terms are set by the agency; recruitment offers published by their recipients ranged from $300 to $750 a month for 60 videos (see sources)
  • The creator count is 900 in the hero and 800+ in the FAQ on the same page

4

Octohog

Best for
DTC brands that want software to rank TikTok creators against a brief and send the invites, and are happy to negotiate rates afterwards.

You describe the product once; Octohog returns a ranked shortlist of TikTok creators with a fit score and the videos behind it, maps the creators a competitor already works with, reverse-engineers winning videos into briefs, and sends personalised invites with one follow-up. The subscription replaces marketplace fees: the site says there are no per-hire platform fees and you negotiate with the creator directly (our capture, 2026-09-01).

Pros

  • Ranked shortlists with the evidence shown, and outreach with follow-ups done for you
  • No per-hire platform fee; creator rates are negotiated directly (site claim, 2026-09-01)
  • Competitor radar and video blueprints included on every plan

Cons

  • Hard meters: 2 campaigns and 30 invites a month on Launch, and 100 ranked creators per campaign on every plan (checked 2026-09-13)
  • Card-required trial, and outreach is locked until you pay
  • TikTok-first, and rates are not published: you find out by negotiating
  • Three pricing-page FAQ answers were empty when we read the page (2026-09-13)

Which Shortimize alternative should you pick?

Pick Shortimize if you only need tracking. Pick influencers.so if you need to find creators, see what they charge and hire them without a commission; tracking comes with the paid plans. Pick Modash if you want a large database with tracking built in and can live with usage meters.

Questions about Shortimize alternatives

Is Shortimize a creator marketplace?
No. Its pricing page (checked 2026-09-13) sells account tracking, video storage, refresh rates and seats. There is no creator directory, rate card or outreach product on the public site.
How much does Shortimize cost?
Launch is $99 a month and Scale is $249 a month on the monthly toggle; yearly billing is advertised at 20% off, which is where the '$79/mo' in the page's meta description comes from. Enterprise is custom. Checked 2026-09-13.
Are the Shortimize free tools really free?
They cost nothing, but in our test on 2026-09-08 every page under /tools opened an email-capture modal before running, and the downloader pages showed a placeholder preview with a login button rather than a download.
What is the closest alternative for hiring creators?
influencers.so. Creators publish their retainer and per-video rates on their cards, the free plan lets you search and reveal a set number of emails a day, and there is no commission when you hire.
Can I track creators on influencers.so like on Shortimize?
Yes, on the paid plans: every video your hired creators post is tracked across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. The difference is that the creators, their rates and the outreach are in the same place.
Does Shortimize take a cut of creator payments?
Its pricing page lists 'Automated Creator Payments' as a plan feature and does not publish a percentage fee for it. We do not state one, because none is published (checked 2026-09-13).
